Dr Clements is a pediatric endocrinologist, physician scientist, health outcomes researcher, and clinical trialist at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City. He is principal investigator or co-investigator on 4 NIH-funded projects.
His areas of interest include leveraging of informatics for “real-time” data listening in clinical care, quality improvement, and clinical trial recruitment; mining the electronic health record to identify novel risk signals for health outcomes in type 1 diabetes, and predictive analytics to allow risk-stratification of type 1 diabetes populations.
